Dr. Charles Collins Morulem of Katakwi General Hospital has died in a motorcycle crash Thursday evening as he rode from Usuk to Katakwi town.

This happened at around 6pm.

When the news of Morulem's death reached Katakwi, grief engulfed the hospital and paralyzed activities as his colleagues struggled to absorb the news.

The hospital superintendent, Dr. Simon Peter Odeng, confirmed the death and said the late medic's body was picked from the accident scene.

Odeng said Morelum broke his neck and died instantly while the two other people who collided with him sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

“He was alone riding from Usuk towards Katakwi town when he crashed into another motorcycle carrying two people,” said Odeng.
