Denis Omara drained a game-high 15 points and three other team-mates finished in double figures as the KIU Titans won for the third time in a row in the National Basketball League (NBL), claiming an 85-53 victory over the Ndejje Angels Sunday at the YMCA.

And Ivan Lumanyika is finally back on the court.

Safe to say, KIU look set to thrive in the second half of the regular season.

The Titans started their winning run five days ago with a 78-51 beating of the JT Jaguars, before victories over D’Mark Power on Friday and John Omondi’s Ndejje. KIU have won the three games by an average of 25.3 points, with the scoring done by committee.

Against Ndejje, Joel Lukoji and Mpiya Juf added 13 points apiece, while Edgar Munaba had 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Ndejje had two double-digit scorers, with Ben Wobusobozi and Jonathan Oketch scoring 14 and 13 points respectively.

KIU improved to 8-3 for the season, climbing to third in the standings. The Titans are level on points with second-placed Namuwongo Blazers, but trail on account of a worse head-to-head.

Ndejje are just outside relegation in 10th place, with a 3-8 record.
